When is this going to stop?

Scarborough shooting! Again! It has become so normal that I wonder it is even news to people anymore? I feel sorry for Scarborough because it always gets labelled.

Must be nice to be an Aussie today!

“The launch appeared to go smoothly in New Zealand, Australia, and Japan, but as the sun traveled across the earth, the issues began to emerge.” What can I say? Well, I guess we are not all perfect. I’d gather Steve Jobs will have some heads roll for this. It tarnishes Apple’s image and it’s all about image for him. Granted, I foresee that many companies are not prepared for the coming Apple storm. As the song said “the times are a changing” and I know companies are not ready for the new Apple World. Get your stocks now!

Not sure how to take this one? Asian Angler out-of-towners are overfishing in York Region. Oh, the humanity!

I could easily say that many York Region residents have issues; however I was always told that there are two sides to any coin. Except when it comes to Scarface, but that’s a different issue. You see the fact is although we are a so-called tolerant society, the fact remains that we are fearful. Homes are being bought up and the “Real Canadian’s” are being pushed out of their secluded enclaves and hidden fortresses (can you hear my sarcasm). The quote un-quote pristine areas of York Region are being invaded by “out-of-towners”. Now tell me, what does that mean? If I was a 4th generation Canadian, would I still be called and “out-of-towner”, if I looked Asian?

Will Linux ever get a foothold?

Linux is everywhere now. However its name is still not a main staple amongst the public. Why? I think we have to call it the cool and simple factor. We are used to Windows and it’s difficult to break that ecosystem. What is needed is a large company to take Linux and do what Apple did with BSD. The problem is I do not foresee anyone doing that and keeping the Linux name. It would be nice to hear Microsoft Linux, or Google Linux, but it won’t happen. They will get the code and call it something else. Maybe even fork it? Maybe Linux is just too nerdy and it will never catch fire. Only time will tell!
